This year, I turn 61, and have decided to fundraise for 3 different Canadian charities. The World Partnership Walk will be my largest fundraiser. The AKFC has always held a special place in my heart and so this year through World Partnership Walk, I am aiming to raise $61,000. Through your support, I hope you will make it somewhat easier for me to reach my goal!
Having lived a privileged life, I am fully aware that every child and parent is not that fortunate. This is very evident in the times we live right now. With the exceptional work the Aga Khan Foundation Canada does internationally, this is OUR chance to bring about the change. If you are not familiar of the work the AKFC does, please read up on it on their website.
Most of us would agree that it is the poor and underprivileged that are paying the price of global-power ignorance. We may not be able to change political persuasions, but we can educate children so their future is not a grim one, and provide assistance to the family as a whole so their future is bright and secure.
