Imagine waking up every day not knowing if you’ll have enough food to eat, or if you’ll ever get the chance to go to school. For millions of people around the world, this isn’t just a thought—it’s their reality.

Today, about 700 million people are living in extreme poverty, surviving on less than $2.15 a day. That’s not enough for basic things many of us take for granted, like clean water, healthcare, or even a safe place to live.

That’s why I’m taking part in the World Partnership Walk. Every year, people across Canada come together to raise money and support communities in Africa and Asia who are working hard to build better lives. Since it started, this movement has raised over $151 million and helped fund programs that improve education, healthcare, and job opportunities for millions of people.

But this isn’t just about money, it’s about giving people a chance. A chance for kids to go to school instead of working. A chance for families to have enough food. A chance for communities to become stronger and independent.

Even a small donation can create real change. It can help someone learn, grow, and build a future they never thought was possible.
